Dr. Ramesh NimmatooriGeneral Partner
Dr. Ramesh Babu Nimmatoori is an education leader, academic entrepreneur, and institution builder with over three decades of experience in higher education, academic administration, and institutional development. He founded the Aurora Educational Society in 1989, shortly after completing his postgraduate education in Computer Science Engineering, and has since played a central role in building the Aurora Group of Institutions into a multidisciplinary education ecosystem spanning engineering, management, life sciences, commerce, design, and other disciplines. He currently serves as Chancellor of Aurora Higher Education and Research Academy (Deemed-to-be University), Hyderabad.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Nimmatoori has combined institution building with extensive academic and sectoral engagement. The Aurora ecosystem today comprises more than 30 institutions, educating over 15,000 students annually and supported by more than 1,500 faculty and staff, with an alumni community exceeding 100,000 graduates. Alongside his institutional leadership, he has more than three decades of teaching experience as a Professor of Computer Science & Engineering and has contributed to the development and establishment of educational institutions across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
His engagement extends to the broader governance and development of the higher-education sector. Dr. Nimmatoori has served in leadership positions across professional and higher-education associations and was elected as an Executive Member of the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh. His work has also involved mentoring education entrepreneurs and supporting the establishment of new institutions, reflecting a long-standing focus on expanding educational capacity, strengthening academic ecosystems, and connecting institutional development with emerging societal and industry requirements.
Dr. Nimmatoori holds a B.Tech in Civil Engineering and an M.Tech in Computer Science Engineering from Osmania University, along with a Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering from JNTU Hyderabad. His academic pursuits also extend beyond engineering, with an M.A. and Ph.D. in Astrology. Through the Aurora Foundation and associated initiatives, he has supported educational access for students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, complementing his institutional work with a broader commitment to education and social development.
